Simon Duhamel was commissioned to produce this series of 23 portraits for Kaäz hair salon. The pictures were submitted to the 2009 Contessa contest and Kaäz is currently semi-finalist in two categories: Canadian Salon Team and Canadian Men Stylist of the year for the work of Maly Pradchit. The concept was to produce portraits inspired from the 60’s era, but with a modern touch. The shoot took place at the Made of Stills studio over a period of 4 days, with more than 50 hours of post-processing.

These are a couple of early shots from a series that is slowly developing. I’m not too sure what the ‘pink’ means but maybe I’ll find out as it progresses. Don’t be afraid. Please, join me for a journey into my subconscious…..Woooooooooo.
A while ago, I had the chance to work with graphic designer Max Harvey and clothes designer Isabelle Campeau on a project called Diploma.
Isabelle and Max came with the idea of creating conceptual clothes inspired from objects from everyday life. To show the concept of the clothes, we decided to build a whole room so we could illustrate both aspect, the clothes as garment and as useful objects as well.
As the project was more an experiment than anything else, the final product was printed in a unique book and now some images are available on Max Harvey’s website.
