Last october Made of Stills studio hosted the Slide luck pot show in Montreal.
Great event, lots of people, quality work featured.
You can live this lovely evening in just a quick minute right here:

Today, photographer Jamie Campbell, newly arrived in the Montreal photo scene, paid a visit to the guys at Made of Stills. We introduced ourselves and gave him a little tour of the studio before heading out to Cafe Olympico to chill on the terrace over a nice Cappuccino. It was pretty cool to spend some time with him, sharing thoughts on photography. It’s fascinating how every photographer’s story is different, coming from different backgrounds, having different experiences and looking towards different objectives… Really puts things into perspective!
Here’s a feature on him done by the Magenta Foundation.
Check out Jamie’s work here and make sure not to miss is famous Beasts of Burden series which he exhibited last year at Push Gallery and in NYC.

First of all, thanks to all of you who were there on friday. Je voudrais pas parler à travers mon chapeau but I think we had over 200 people there. Ok maybe 150. Who knows. Our studio was wonderfully decorated with pieces from local artists like Josianne Poirier, Jérôme Mireault, Dan Popa, Pascal Brousseau, Isabelle Malenfant and Anna Binta Diallo. We were even able to get a nice sponsorship from Dieu du Ciel who were kind enough to help us on our very last minute request.
So there we go with the only three pictures we took (if you have any please don’t be shy and share) and a big thanks, again, to all of you.

Hope to see you all again soon.
